Ellison leads this 6-hour workshop in which students view a brief slide presentation of the most common birds of our region and explore different types of equipment available to birders. The afternoon is spent outside practicing identification skills. Students may carpool to a nearby location. Participants should wear clothing appropriate for the weather, and bring water, lunch and binoculars. For reference, Ellison recommends Peterson's A Field Guide to the Birds East of the Rockies. Call 665-2492 x 317 to reach the Registrar's desk. Please note that this phone may not be manned when you call, but messages will be returned within one business day.
