Bird Walk August 30, 2010

Come and try for the "Bentsen Hat Trick" of subtropical bird species: clay-colored robin, northern beardless-tyrannulet, and ferruginous pygmy-owl; then look for a hook-billed kite to complete the "Bentsen Grand Slam." Gray hawk, ringed kingfisher and groove-billed ani are among other highly sought species regularly seen here. Bring binoculars, a field guide, sunscreen, bug repellent and water, or buy it all in our park store before the walk. Binoculars are also available for rent at the park store, too. Accessible for the mobility and visually impaired.
