Birch Riley band at All Ages Thursday show at Club Motor Seattle May 26, 2011

Original hard rock band Birch Riley will join The Flying Tortugas, Smokin Bill and Buckets of Rain for an All Ages Thursday show at Club Motor Seattle, Thursday May 26, 2011. Birch Riley has released a 2001 self recorded CD called "Scattered" and an EP called "3" in 2009. While "Scattered" is a mix of hard and indie rock, "3" is a more focused studio release tracked at Toy Box studio in Fremont (Seattle) with Brian Pake at the helm, and mixed by Jonathan Plum at the famed London Bridge Studios. Birch Riley includes Wes Hlebichuk (guitar / lead vocals), Shawn Thompson (guitar / keys / bass / backing vocals), Rick Sloot (drums), and brand new band mate Phil Calvert. Calvert started rehearsing with the band in February 2011 and will bring his bass and guitar skills onstage to help the band expand their live stage sound.
