the apt gets are a pop band that uses guitars and only Open Source software to write and perform their music. Based at Access Space, Sheffield, the apt gets

are three musicians (Dan, Lawrence and Jake) who inhabit the new underground of open source pop, forging songs from the contents of spam emails, the lives of forgotten computer programmers and call centre staff slaving in darkened basements, and the resplendent rays of the Sun reflecting from the glass surfaces of new build "luxury" apartment blocks.
