Albuquerque’s Loren Kahn Puppet & Object Theatre presents Billy Goat Ballad. Adapted from the book, La Ballade de Cornebique by Jean-Claude Mourlevat (Edition Gallimard), the Loren Kahn Puppet & Object Theatre brings its beautiful, humorous and entertaining touring performance to Revolutions 2007.
Cornebique, a billy goat and big fan of the blues, hits the road to forget an unrequited love. He finds himself, unexpectedly, in charge of a tiny dormouse, an animal of which he has never heard! Flesh Weasel, special agent, is on their trail. He means to capture this last remaining male dormouse and reunite him with the sole remaining female, in order to create the world’s biggest corporate food supply for…weasels.
The company has recently returned from touring this work nationally, and Revolutions is delighted to offer this one-time-only performance for Albuquerque-area families. The project is made possible in part by UETF of the City of Albuquerque; McCune Foundation; and New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Sat., February 3, 2 p.m., The Outpost Performance Space, 210 Yale SE. Tickets $18 general admission, $12 students and seniors. Tickets Available at NHCC Box Office 505-724-4771.
