This award-winning, Harlem-based company is recognized as one of the most innovative and powerful forces in the modern dance world. Choreographer and dancer Bill T. Jones has an unmistakable style, often combining video, text and autobiographical material with dance. Forming the company in 1982 Jones, with his late partner Arnie Zane, gained recognition as "new wave" choreographers whose large-scale, abstract collaborations were visually and spatially energized by contemporary sets, costumes and body paintings. In a recent review of this multicultural company, The Washington Post raved: "They all share a velvety propulsion, razor-sharp technique and a stage presence that's close to majesty."

yeah, after i went to woolworth around 11, the tix were all gone... ran over to astor place where the line was relatively short, hoping that they'd have to start giving out tix earlier than 5pm if the crowd got too big. they caved in at around 3pm.
