"Digital technology has changed the way we interact with everything from the games we play to the tools we use at work. Designers of digital technology products no longer regard their job as designing a physical object but as designing our interactions with it.
Award-winning British designer Bill Moggridge, co-founder of IDEO, pioneered interaction design and is one of the first people to integrate human factors into the design of software and hardware. He will be joined by Gillian Crampton Smith, one of the most influential academics in the discipline of interaction design.
After a short introduction, they will answer questions from all corners, discussing the rationale, processes, history and implications of interaction design, illustrating their insights with images and videos. This evening will be interactive, participatory and unscripted – come and join the fray!"
Doors open at 6.45pm. Talk 7.15pm - 8.30pm. Wine and exhibition viewing until 9pm. Tickets cost £10 each or £6 for Design Museum members.
