Using the black-and-white period portraits of photographer Mike Disfarmer as inspiration and projected backdrop, Bill Frisell's Disfarmer Project creates a multi-media musical and visual world imagining life in a small Arkansas mountain town of the 1940s. Steel guitarist Greg Leisz, violinist Jenny Scheinman, and bassist Viktor Krauss join genre-crossing, Grammy-winning guitarist and composer Bill Frisell for this innovative musical journey.
