Bike Day with Johnnie Marshall Band
August 1, 2009 Time TBA $5.00

Marshall, born and raised in Wigham, Georgia, has his own stylistic drive in his songwriting, guitar work and his vocals. He moves a crowd and it's very captivating to watch him shift from style to style. Johnnie has a dynamic personality which comes through in his music and his hard driving performance. He has a broad repertoire, a humble demeanor and his smooth guitar style is complemented by a soulful voice. Johnnie’s music has been described as a Southern Urban Blues style, with the occasional dash of funk thrown in. Put this all into the melting pot and its assured you’ll be up and dancing….he knows how to bring any house alive and shakin’
The story of how this bike day came about.
In a nutshell we are lovers of bikes and our landlords also have motorcycles and often visitors pull up to the store or at one of our music nights on a bike(s). Even a few of the musicians have pulled up on bikes… We decided that we wanted to take a photo of bikes lined up on the sides of this 100 year old building—a corner shot. A simple idea. Our building is painted to look like a Caribbean style building and has been compared many times to an old New Orleans style of roadhouse/juke joint and the photo would look great. The idea caught on and bikers from a gamut of areas expressed interest in coming. We thought why not make a day of it. On Saturdays we are open from Noon to 11 PM anyway…
So we are making a day of it and will have The Johnnie Marshall band perform that day. We will also sell teas, coffee, sodas, bottled waters, appetizers/light fare and our dangerously delicious desserts. It’s a great way to for folks to also learn about some of the other businesses in town and a great way to welcome bikers to our community… Spread the word, get on your bikes and come help make this a fun day for all.
