WILLIAMSBURG, February 27 -- GlassLands Gallery hosts "Big Whoop," a night of indie and dance entertainment, DIY style. This event is a transgenerational celebration remixing the old and new influences of the current Williamsburg scene, particularly indie rock and punk oriented music, both organic and electronic.
Headlining is Chris Frantz of Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club fame, in a rare guest DJ appearance. His son, Kid Ginseng, will perform live Electro Punk music from his recently released LP "Gift To Connect" on the KraftJerkz label. Ginseng's big, grinding sound is influenced by 80's electro and the DIY electro scene in Den Haag, Holland.

He also interviews Artists and Promoters for the DIY music and DJ culture blog Fakebeat, a joint effort with Alexander Bassett and Protman out of Chicago.
