We're almost to the finish line! Take a breather and come to Dudley's Mid-Week Break! This Wednesday is for the "Zin Lovers", (it's going to be delicious!) we'll take a closer look at what many folks consider to be California's own grape, the big, rich, jammy Zinfandel. But where is this grape really from? Who brought it to California in the first place and when? What is the difference between a Primitivo, an Old Vine, an Ancient Vine, a White Zinfandel and just plain Zin? On Wednesday we'll answer all of these questions while we taste! We'll taste and compare "newer" vine Zin to Old Vine Zin, Old Vine Zin to Ancient Vine Zin, and compare Zinfandels from Sonoma to Zinfandels from Lodi. But what about the lowly White Zinfandel? Can we really taste any semblance of the juicy, jammy flavors of a good red Zin in a White Zinfandel? Conventional wisdom would say we should, since they are from the same grape, but the only real way to know is to actually taste! With all these big juicy red Zins, this should be a fun tasting. Taste before you buy! Take your mind off of work for awhile and join us tonight in a great relaxing atmosphere with fun people and awesome wines. The cost of the tasting is only $8.00! What a great way to break up your work week... 'cause you deserve a break!
