Big Mama, a survivor of the riot, takes us back to what she witnessed and communicates, through memory and song, the redemptive value of remembering, understanding, forgiving and healing. Big Mama Speaks was written by well-known author, attorney and community leader Hannibal Johnson, whose books include Black Wall Street, Up From the Ashes, Acres of Aspiration and IncogNegro.
