We do not experience food and wine simply by the sensations dancing on the tongue. We experience by the inter-mingling of smell, sight, touch, taste and sound. The warm smell of something in the air can produce nostalgic memories of delectables past, or conjure up ravenous cravings for foreign food items. We use touch to determine things like whether or not a piece of fruit is ripe, or whether or not that pea soup is going to scald the roof of the mouth. It’s the crackling sound of pop rocks that entices. And when a plate presentation is artfully constructed it makes eating it all the more enjoyable. Chef Cinthia will select food elements that will awaken and tease the nose, eyes, ears, mouths and hands. Wines will be selected by Wine Expert Chris Spangler. This heightened gastronomic experience will prompt guests to truly engage with their food and wine. Reservations are required.
