Do you remember the first time you visited the sea? Did you play in the sandy beaches, explore the rocky tide pools, or dive under the shimmering surface of the waves? There is something in our human souls that seeks out connection to the oceans, and much that is gained in return. Everyone here at the Marine Science Institute holds a deep passion for the oceans, and all the great diversity of life that swims in its open waters and bays. We know that you do too, and that is why we hope you will join MSI in celebrating at the Big Blue Benefit on October 15!
We are fortunate to be joined in the festivities of the day by Alexandra Cousteau, the grand-daughter of legendary ocean pioneer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, is a well-established ocean explorer and advocate in her own right. She will be speaking on land, and will be joining us for a special voyage aboard the Robert G. Brownlee.
Much is planned! You can see all of the details at our web site, and jump into the bidding on our on-line auction! http://www.sfbaymsi.org/bigbluebenefit.html .
