Bicycle Ride All Ages/Skill levels to Jones Beach October 14, 2012

TIME to meet: 11:30am
All Ages and Skill levels welcome~kid friendly (no cost for kids)
Where: to meet- Entrance to Park is less than a 1/4 mile on your right on Merrick Rd. EAST from Wantagh Pkwy. Drive into the first parking lot you come to, I will bring my banner.
Level of difficulty Beginner Bike ride on smooth, off the road PAVED PATHS
Bike Trail Plan FROM: Cedar Creek Merrick Rd Seaford TO: Jones Beach State Park
Distance: 9 miles Round trip Smooth surface for riding, from Cedar Creek in Seaford to Jones Beach and back. This route is off all highways but runs next to Wantagh Pkwy, there is pedestrian traffic. Scenic route marshes, waterways and bay beaches seen on the path. Best of all, this time of year we ride to boardwalk and rest at Jones Beach (have lunch) before heading back.
BRING WATER ~ PACK LUNCH
(concession stand may be open) we will picnic on the board walk.
Bring your own bicycle! If you don't have a bike rack- call me and I will see if I can make arrangements with someone that lives by you that is going.
