Bhangra Blowout 17 April 17, 2010

This year, the world’s top eight intercollegiate Bhangra teams will take stage on April 17th 2010 in the nation’s most revered Punjabi-style dance competition, Bhangra Blowout 17. Traditionally held at D.A.R. Constitution, the show will feature thrilling performances from University of Rochester Bhangra, Virginia Commonwealth University Bhangra, New York University Bhangra, University of Virginia Bhangra (UVA di Shaan), Cornell University Bhangra, Rutgers University Bhangra, University of Michigan’s Wolverine Bhangra, and Drexel University Bhangra. Alongside the competing teams will be special performances by the leading Punjabi DJ Production team, RDB (Rhythm, Dhol, Bass), world number one dholi, Mitch Hyare, and exhibition acts by George Washington University Bhangra, DC Bhangra Crew, DC Metropolitan Arts Academy, and Capital Funk.
