Beyond Words: Poetry and Music as a Portal to Awakening April 12, 2013

Join poet/teacher/author, Kim Rosen and musical alchemist, Jami Sieber, to pioneer the frontiers of consciousness and creativity that unfold through the transformative power of beauty, poetry, music, writing, community, nature, movement and profound silence. Poems, prayers, and music can speak the mystery, the silence, the ineffable joys and sorrows of the inner life. When you take them deeply into yourself and speak them aloud you cause shifts in your feelings, your thoughts and your biochemistry that open consciousness, aligning you with what matters most. You are giving voice not only to the words, but to your own soul.

In this retreat we immerse in the poems we love and the words we write. They become our teachers, healers and companions. We invite the magic that unfurls as poetry intertwines with music. In addition there are sessions of breathwork, chanting and movement. We enter silence together and alone. There is ample free time to mingle with the natural life that surrounds us: 194 acres of rolling hills, a beautiful natural oak glade and a meditative labyrinth made of river stones high on the hill overlooking the valley below. The retreat culminates in a “mysterium”: a exploration beyond ordinary words that spans poetry and music, night and day, sound and silence, waking and sleeping, aloneness and communion.

The retreat starts on Friday at dinner at 6pm and ends on Sunday at 4pm.

The workshop costs are as follows:
