Beyond Green: Toward A Sustainable Art June 9, 2007

This exhibition explores the ways that sustainable design philosophy resonates with the work of an emerging generation of international artists. The artists combine a fresh aesthetic sensibility with environmental concerns and they are building paths to new forms of practice that go beyond green. Thematic concerns range from environmental activism to green product design solutions. Each piece either addresses ecological issues of sustainable living or actually seeks a solution to a sustainability/social problem.
