This hilarious comedy centers on an acting couple - fading stars on tour in Buffalo with a repertory consisting of "Cyrano de Bergerac" and "Private Lives". They have been given one more shot at starring roles in "The Scarlet Pimpernel" with epic director Frank Capra en route to catch their matinée performance. Will Charlotte go on or run off with thier agent? Will George be sober enough? Will Capra see "Cyrano", "Private Lives" or a combination of the two? The plot is full of misunderstandings, misplaced affections and missing persons.
