BEST SHOW EVER - 50th CageMatch Show Extravaganza February 9, 2008

DSI Comedy Theater produces North Carolina's CageMatch with permission from Kevin Mullaney (creator- UCB Theatre, IO Chicago). This show offers an opportunity for the local improv community, comedy theaters, and improv students across the Triangle to push the boundaries of longform improvisation.

The world's most dangerous improv arena returned to DSI Comedy Theater on April 1, 2006 and now celebrates its 50th performance. Each show, a new challenger takes on the previous week's champion. The audience votes for the 22 minutes of comedy they enjoyed the most and the winner comes back to defend the CageMatch title; the loser stays home. 47 teams have entered the cage and over 1,000 votes have been cast. On this special Saturday evening show, current champions Flavor Shot (Andy Lavendar and Zach Ward) will take on 3-time champions Panthro (Kyle Chorpening and Joe Jones) in a heated rematch from DSI's "Dual Duel" in 2007.
