Little Elm ISD’s New Musical Enrichment Program (MEP), formerly Lakeside Summer Musicals, a working arm of the Fine Arts Department, is now preparing for its inaugural season with the production of Lerner and Loewe’s “My Fair Lady” in January 2010. The main goal of the LEISD MEP is to educate students in producing top quality musical theater while working alongside professionals in the industry and community members willing to donate their time, talent and experience to the entire program.
This summer the LEISD MEP will provide a weeklong workshop called Best of Broadway from June 15 – 20 in the Fine Arts Wing of Little Elm High School. The full day of acting, dance and vocals for young students will be from 9am until 4pm every day, finishing with a free presentation to family and friends on Saturday June 20 at 10 a.m. Adults will rehearse in the evenings from 6 to 9pm.
Actors, dancers and singers are encouraged to register as there is a limited number of openings. Registration fees are $85 for students entering 3rd -12th and $55 for adults. For more information please log onto www.LEISDmusicals.com or call 972-292-3628 or email leisdmep@leisd.ws.
