In 1989 the Berlin Wall fell – a historic event that echoed around the world as East Germany became part of the free world. Two decades later, a changing Berlin has become not only a thriving business hub but a cultural and creative hotspot for the ages.
In late March, New York City will host to the global launch of the be Berlin campaign, celebrating the German capital’s transformation and cultural contributions in fashion, art and design, and film.
As part of the be Berlin events in New York City, the public is invited to a Berlin Nightlife event at APT Club (419 West 13th Street) on Thursday evening, April 2. Starting at 10:00 p.m., the free event will feature music by Super DJ Dimitri, a former member of ‘90s House/Dance music group Deee-Lite who currently lives and works in Berlin; special Berlin-specific cocktails; and a Berlin-related media presentation.
