MAY 14 @ 2pm and 7pm/May 15 at 12pm and 5pm
Once upon a time, the young prince Pippin longed to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfillment. He sought it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power. In the end, he found it in the simple pleasures of home and family. This hip, tongue-in-cheek, anachronistic fairy tale captivated Broadway audiences and continues to appeal to the young at heart everywhere. The energetic pop-influenced score by composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Wicked & Godspell) bursts with one showstopping number after another, from soaring ballads to infectious dance numbers.
Directed by Kimberly Dooley. Music Direction by Jonathan Fadner. Performed by youth and teen students in the Berkeley Playhouse Conservatory.
