Steven Levy, author of many wonderful books about Silicon Valley and senior technology editor at Newsweek, reads from his newest book, The Perfect Thing: How the iPod Shuffles Commerce, Culture and Coolness. Designers, inventors, and music listeners will enjoy this book because it captures the essence of how a great music and audio delivery tool – the iPod -- was conceived, built, and sold. Levy gets some of the story straight from Jobs’ mouth, and there’s one priceless scene describing what happens when Levy hands his first iPod – which he received as a media person -- to Bill Gates, who happens to be sitting next to him at a lunch meeting.
