Raines Cohen, a Climate Project presenter who studied under Al Gore to learn to present the climate-crisis slideshow from the movie "An Inconvenient Truth," will moderate the April 22 Berkeley Cybersalon on "Savvy Solutions to Global Warming," from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hillside Club, 2286 Cedar St., in Berkeley.
$10 at the door gets you organic edibles from Zatar, drinks, child care (for your children only!) and a chance to schmooze with Felix Kramer, founder of CalCars; David Hammond, green chemist with UC Berkeley and the Biomimcry Institute; Jane White and Eli Noyes, founders of Project 3650, animators against global warming; and Betsy Thagard, owner of Green Planet Real Estate, which is sponsoring the organic food and drinks.
We hope you can join us without seriously damaging the planet. The Hillside Club is close to downtown Berkeley BART and three blocks east of the nearest bus stop on Shattuck and Cedar.
