Dennis KG4RUL will coordinate the EOC operation while Steve W4SLI will coordinate the field operation.
Berkeley ARES/RACES members and other interested Ham Operators, or just those who want to try out Amateur Radio, are invited to contact Dennis KG4RUL for further information. kg4rul@comcast.net
We plan to begin operating at 1600Z and are working to get representatives from local Government and served agencies to visit the EOC in those two hours prior to initiation of operation.
We are inviting and groups participating in Field Day 2008 as Class F station, to do the same. This would give us the chance to show off our capabilities and, during that time interval, be able to allow our guests to talk with their counterparts at other sites.
This will be an unofficial effort and will NOT count towards Field Day scores. This is a golden opportunity to expose our customers to Amateur Radio: EOC Personnel, Governmental Agencies, Law Enforcement Agencies, Emergency Medical Service Agencies, Fire/Search and Rescue Departments, etc.
We will be maintaining a list of participating stations at this URL: http://home.comcast.net/~dzabawa/ClassF.htm
If you wish to participate, please send the following information my E-Mail address, kg4rul@comcast.net with special emphasis on the 1600Z-1800Z time interval:

CLASS - 1F, 3F, etc.
