Trummer's On Main will host a special wine dinner on March 19 at 6:30 p.m. featuring the sustainable, organic and biodynamic wines of California's Benziger Family Winery led by their winemaker, Jeff McBride. The four-course dinner will pair creative dishes like a Goat Cheese Tart with cherry tomatoes, black pepper shortbread and herb salad, and the Seared Duck Breast with cherry jam, truffle jus and quinoa salad, with a variety of wines from the family-owned Sonoma vineyard. Previously serving as the Vice President of St. Michelle Wine Estates and as GM of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, GM Jeff McBride's mission of Benziger's winemaking style is to emphasize "a desire to preserve the aroma and taste of the grape with a focus on elegance and restrained power."
The special Benziger wine dinner includes four courses paired with wines for $99 per person and reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 703.266.1623.
Trummer's On Main is located at 7134 Main Street, Clifton, Virginia, 20124. For more information about Wine Appreciation Month, please visit www.trummersonmain.com.
