Benefit Dinner and Dance with "Home Grown" Live! April 25, 2009

The band is great-Southern Rock. Enjoy Smoked Boston Butt, Baked Beans, Cajun Potatoes, Cole Slaw and Garlic Bread; along with a variety of desserts. Everything will be homemade. The bar will be open for those who would like a cocktail or something lighter. We have a TV as a doorprize; plus assorted quality items for a raffle. Only ages 21 and older please. Proceeds go to Kim Hettrick; a great person who has recently had more health problems than she deserves (and no health insurance). Since February 4th, Kim has been hospitalized 5 times with the following....A blood clot to her lung, a stent in the main artery of her heart (which was 90% blocked), congestive heart failure, a second stent (this one 85%), acute renal (kidney) failure, given 2 units of blood (because of previously diagnosed hemolytic anemia-which causes red blood cells to die faster than they can rejuvenate), and a stroke. She is in the hospital again now, due to continued congestive heart failure and complications from the hemolytic anemia; treatment for which has had her blood sugar at 370 (oh yeah-She's also diabetic).
