Actor/humanitarian activist/distinguished speaker Ben Vereen won the prestigious Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical and a Drama Desk Award for his lead performance in the long-running hit, 'Pippin' and is also the first person to win three of the highest honors awarded by the American Guild of Variety Artists - Entertainer of the Year, Rising Star and Song and Dance Star - in a single year.
