Middle Eastern Dance Master Class
Mosaic Dance Theater Company presents a unique chance to study with Samara, world-renowned Middle Eastern dancer and choreographer.

Samara will teach a Master Class on Incorporating Saiidi Folklore into Oriental Dance on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at the Baird Center in South Orange, NJ. Known for her “sensational saiidi” in her oriental solos, Samara will lead you through a head-to-toe dancer’s warm-up, then focus on
+ Interpreting Saiidi rhythm,
+ Traditional steps for Saiidi,
+ Heavy hip work for Saiidi, and
+ Working with cymbals and cane.

Please bring cymbals and canes. There will be a half-hour break, so please bring your own refreshments.
