ABOUT MARY VAN NOTE:
Mary Van Note is a stand-up comedian of the weird variety. She performs at colleges, clubs and festivals across the country and she is the creator and star of the Independent Film Channel web series The Mary Van Note Show: Gavin Really Wants Me. The San Francisco Bay Guardian called her a “Zine-Queen Comedian,” as she regularly makes zines, crafts and mini-comics. Her specialties are stick-figures and cross-stitch.

ABOUT UNI AND HER UKELELE:
Uni and her Ukelele won Best Experimental Artist of 2008 from SF Weekly. She has toured Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and across the United States. She was also a featured performer at the Paris and New Zealand ukulele festivals. She co-wrote “So In Love” for the reality show Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood on OXYGEN. She has sung with the legendary Johnny Otis and has opened for James Brown, Huey Lewis and Ray Charles.

ABOUT FOXTAILS BRIGADE:
Indie experimental folk duet Foxtails Brigade formed in Los Angeles in 2007 at the Eagle Rock Music Festival and recently located to the San Francisco Bay Area. Comprised of singer/songwriter Laura Weinbach and violinist Sivan Sadeh, their thematic songs, classical guitar techniques and intricate John Cale-like violin riffs evoke a storytelling atmosphere and commanding stage presence. Their full length album debut from Third Culture Records will be out in February 2009.
