Bella Hardy's eagerly awaited 2nd solo album In the Shadow of Mountains was released in August and she is touring with her band, featuring guests from the album such as Corrina Hewat, harpist of The Unusual Suspects, and Chris Sherburn of Last Night's Fun.
In the Shadow of Mountains will once again feature Bella's unique and stirring interpretations of traditional songs, equally balanced with a mix of Bella's never before heard originals. Bella has now established herself as one of the finest young folk acts around, singing unaccompanied ballads, or entwining her hypnotic voice with her own fiddle accompaniment to breathtaking effect.
Nominated for Best Original Song (Three Black Feathers) and the Horizon Award in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2008, Bella is nominated again for the Horizon Award in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2009.
