TOPIC: Emergency Preparedness: Being prepared for the unexpected!

SPEAKER: Patricia Barrett, CD BA PBD

DESCRIPTION: Do you know where to get emergency information? Have you set up a personal/family emergency plan? This presentation will direct you to explore how prepared you are and direct you to community services that will help you be more prepared.

Patricia currently is an Associate Manager at Red Cross with over thirty years experience in Healthcare related services. She currently is coordinating the provincial recycling of medical equipment for children with special needs. Prior to ten years with Red Cross, Patricia has served twenty years with the Military Reserve and worked in a variety of full time positions related to health services in clinical, administrative and retail environments. Patricia has also volunteered with Girl Guides in excess of thirty years, and also volunteered with Provincial Emergency Services while in the military.

Door Prizes – 50/50 Draw

Time: 12:30 pm registration and socializing, 1:00 pm meeting starts for 1:00-3:00 pm program and tea.

LOCATION: Meeting Place: 1480 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC (1/2 block east of Granville Street)

Admission: $5.00 non-members, $4.00 members includes light snack/refreshments after talk. Pay at door. No reservation required.
