Starting a family is an extraordinary journey, where it will be filled with tough challenges and rewarding pleasures. Before we get to cradle the precious baby in our arms, there are endless decisions to make such as:
• Which gynaecologist to go to
• Naming your baby
• What kind of baby-care arrangement
• What manner of confinement-care arrangement
After the bundle of joy arrives, there will be struggles in trying to calm a crying baby, teach and bond with the baby.
Research has also shown that becoming parents for the first time triggers the most stress compared to other life transitions. Hence, first time parents would generally need more guidance and parenting tips to help them overcome these problems.
At this seminar, Mr Wong Suen Kwong, a Family Life Educator at the Centre for Fathering will be sharing more information and tips with first time parents.
