Want to learn to sew on a sewing machine? Here's a great opportunity. The class is offered at Hobby Lobby at Short Pump. It meets on Monday evenings and begins on Sept 10. We will meet for 4 consecutive Monday evenings and you will learn basic sewing machine use, use of very simple commercial patterns and construction of a garment, including darts, zipper and interfacing.
You don't have to have your own machine. I provide them as a part of the class, but if you have one, you should bring it and learn to use your own machine!
I've been sewing for over 40 years and teaching for 20.
In addition to payment for the class, you will need some basic sewing supplies and Hobby Lobby has a starter kit for you. If you already have items in the kit, you may remove them and only pay for what you need. We do that on the first night of class, so come early if you can!
Class feeis $150. Materials fee may be between $35 and $50.
