Beginners Chess December 9, 2012

Do you like board games that challenge your mind and require a table top battle with your opponent? This course will introduce students with an early interest or some experience of the game to the basic moves, rules, beginning tactics and opening principles. The workshop will involve a range of fun games, match practice and will culminate in a small Summer School Tournament with prizes. As the two Chess Courses will be run at the same time there is an opportunity for students to change groups should a different level be more appropriate at this time.
