Beethoven, Brahms & Shostakovich May 16, 2009

Latvian virtuoso Baiba Skride makes her Kansas City debut with guest conductor Grant Llewellyn and the orchestra for Shostakovich's haunting 'Violin Concerto No. 1.' The evening includes Beethoven's heroic 'Coriolan Overture' and Brahms' joyous 'Serenade No. 1,' a virtuoso showpiece for orchestra.
