BECAUSE 2008: Midwest Conference on Bisexuality March 28, 2008

BECAUSE is back!

After 13 consecutive years, from 1992 through 2004, and 3 years off, BECAUSE is coming back.

The BECAUSE Conference is the premier weekend for bisexuals, queers, questioning, and all others who are neither one thing nor the other.

BECAUSE attracts people from throughout the Midwest and beyond to attend various educational workshops, get active, and generally enjoy the community experience.

As we stand up against labels that the community imposes on us, we challenge you to have No Fear and embrace our theme this year of:

The BECAUSE Conference is being held from Friday March 28th 2008 thru Sunday March 30th 2008 in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA on the Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota in the Coffman Memorial Union.

Conference Schedule To-date

Friday, March 28:

6:00 pm – Registration begins
7:00 pm – Keynote Speaker: Ron Fox, Author & Psychologist

Reception to follow keynote event

Saturday, March 29: 

 8:00 am – Registration & contact/vendor tables open
 9:00 am – Workshop
10:30 am – Workshop
11:45 pm – Break
 1:00 pm – Workshop
 2:30 pm – Workshop
 4:00 pm – Workshop
 5:15 pm – Break
 8:00 pm – Closing dance party (no child care available during this time)

Sunday, March 30:

Optional activities
- Information available for local GLBTA friendly worship services
11:00 am – Pay Your Way Brunch, location TBA

Ron Fox, Author & Psychologist will be coming from Amsterdam to be Keynote speaker on Friday night. J.Love The Soundsmith will be spinning tunes at the dance party Co-hosted by BOP and the Queer Student Center at the U of M on Saturday night. With a kickoff and finale like these, you won't want to miss a moment in between!
