Bebe emerged from near-obscurity in 2005 to become the most talked-about Latin artist in America after earning five Latin Grammy nominations, winning the award for best new artist to become that year's most nominated act. The Spanish singer/songwriter from Valencia doesn't neatly fit into any stylistic category, weaving a tapestry of influences including edgy dance-pop, contemporary alternative song in the vein of Natalia LaFourcade, Ely Guerra, and Julieta Venegas.
