A musical showcase in support of the children exploited by war.

Come hear: Dragon Fli Empire, Nushi, The Threads and more...

Created in honour of World Human Rights Day, "Beats not Bullets" is a special event designed to raise awareness of and funds for children affected by armed conflict.

It will target high school and post-secondary youth, with a projected attendance of 400 participants.

Admission will be a minimum of $5.00 or a suggested donation of $10 at the door.

"Beats not Bullets" will feature performances by exciting local artists, Dragon Fli Empire, The Threads, Nushi etc., as well as art displays and community information tables.

The event will also highlight the stories of child soldiers and other war-affected children to personalize the attendees‚ understanding of the experiences of children in the midst of armed conflict.

Not only will participants walk away with a deeper understanding of the effect of war on children - the HIP program will have raised at least $2,000 for a program directly involved in helping these innocent victims.
