Beastly Ball: Penguin Promenade April 30, 2011

Classy attire, a stylish waddle, and a personality that can't be beat - announcing the African Penguin, the star of 'Penguin Promenade, A Celebration in Black and White.' Native to the southwestern coast of Africa, the African Penguin will come to the Minnesota Zoo next summer as part of a new exhibit, 'Penguins of the African Coast.' To celebrate the opening of this new exhibit, the Minnesota Zoo is honoring the African Penguin at 'Penguin Promenade,' the 23rd annual 'Beastly Ball.' This gala features entertainment, unique and exotic auction items, a global marketplace and other surprises. All proceeds will benefit the Zoo's conservation and education programs.
