Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa will be home base for anyone on a quest to learn more about cacao and make their own chocolate during a Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Making Class.
The one day class Friday, July 20 or Saturday, July 21 will be hosted by Honolulu’s Madre Chocolate cofounder and self-proclaimed Chocolate Flavormeister Dr. Nat Bletter. Class includes a visit to a local cacao farm to source the odd looking fruit that becomes delectable chocolate. Attendees will return to Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa where they will make their own bar of chocolate.
Madre Chocolate’s quest is driven by a passion to inspire greater appreciation among consumers for the rich cultural heritage and ecological diversity surrounding cacao. The company strives to connect chocolate-eaters directly to the source, and in doing so to contribute to the well-being of cacao farmers and their communities.
Cost including transportation to farm and supplies is just $65.
