The sixth annual Bead Fest Philadelphia, a four-day celebration of the bead arts, will be held this August 23-26 at the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, PA., 20 minutes from downtown Philadelphia and 35 minutes from the Philadelphia airport. Classes will run all four days, from Thursday, August 23 through Sunday, August 26 and the Expo shopping days will be Friday, August 24 through Sunday, August 26.
Bead Fest Philadelphia continues to grow and is now the second largest retail and educational bead event in North America, with more than 200 exhibitors offering their products in more than 300 booths.
This year’s event also will feature more than 200 classes and workshops taught by renowned bead and jewelry-making experts from around the country. Participants can register for hands-on workshops on stringing, weaving, knotting, lampworking, and how to make, market, and sell beautiful beaded jewelry creations.
Bead Fest Philadelphia is sponsored by Step by Step Beads, Step by Step Wire Jewelry, Lapidary Journal, Beadwork, and Stringing magazines.
Unusual and fine beads will be displayed, along with wire, findings, kits, stringing materials, books, videos, tools, equipment, and supplies. Special free demonstrations on flamework bead making will help enthusiasts improve and refine their design skills.
Admission is $10 for a one day pass, $12 for a two day pass and $14 for a three day pass.
