From the golden dome of the State House to the elegant homes of Louisburg Square, the Beacon Hill tour moves along picturesque streets highlighting examples of the architect Charles Bulfinch and his followers.
The Boston By Foot Beacon Hill walking tour is an introduction to early American architecture featuring the works of Charles Bulfinch. You will also hear the stories of Boston's prominent citizens who have called Beacon Hill their home.
Offered early in the evening during the week, a walk through the shaded streets of Beacon Hill offers a pleasant repose from a hot summer's day and afterward you can enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants along Charles Street.
Boston By Foot is a nonprofit organization to promote the architecture and history of Boston. Guided walking tours are offered regularly May-October and private tours may be requested throughout the year. See the Boston By Foot web site to see the wide spectrum of offerings or for information about becoming a member.
