Be creative in March - join Westfield MainPlace for Family Fun Days featuring “Arts and Culture.” Kids will learn about famous artists and discover their own artistic talents while making unique crafts.
On March 8 join us for story time starting with The Magical Garden of Monet by Laurence Anholt, about a chance meeting with Monet. Beautiful Oops by Barney Saltzberg teaches that it’s okay to make a mistake, especially where art is concerned. Kids will then tap into their own creativity and create a beautiful tissue-paper flower, and enjoy a snack.
March 22 will feature stories about pop art, starting with Pop Warhol’s Top by Julie Appel, which brings pop art creations to life. One by Kathryn Otoshi teaches about colors, numbers, and acceptance. Kids will then put their pop art know-how to work, and create pop art top hats to take home, and enjoy a fun snack.
