Be creative in March—join Westfield Fox Valley and the Westfield Family Program for Family Fun Days featuring “Arts and Culture.” Kids will learn about famous artists and their mistakes—making art more accessible.
On March 14, join us for story time with “Greenie O’Gold,” the leprechaun who will read The Magical Garden of Monet by Laurence Anholt, a book about a chance meeting with Monet and Beautiful Oops by Barney Saltzberg, a book that teaches children that it’s okay to make a mistake, especially where art is concerned. After, kids will have their faces painted and tap into their own creativity and create a beautiful tissue-paper flower and enjoy a snack.
On March 28, Benjamin Ulysses Nathanie Norbert Youngtail (B.U.N.N.Y.) will read Pop Warhol’s Top by Julie Appel, which brings pop art creations to life and One by Kathryn Otoshi, a book that teaches children about colors, numbers, and acceptance. Kids will then enjoy a snack and put their pop art know-how to work by creating pop art top hats to take home. In celebration of Easter, kids will also make their own easter basket.
