For more than half a century, Riley B. King, better known as B.B. King, has defined the blues for a worldwide audience. He worked at WDIA as a singer and disc jockey, gaining the nickname Beale Street Blues Boy, which was later shortened to Blues Boy and finally to B.B. Since he started recording in the 1940s, he has released over 50 albums, many of them beloved classics, and he made famous the Gibson ES-355 guitar, calling his own 'Lucille.' A new documentary on the legendary bluesman, 'BB King: The Life of Riley,' narrated by Morgan Freeman, made its debut overseas in mid-October 2012 and should make its way to the U.S. soon.
