If you want to find out about hiking around Houston, Texas – head into our private room at the Stag’s Head. If you would rather just hang out and socialize, the rest of us will be in the bar area next to the room for drinks and dinner or join us for both.

BCO is pleased to announce a special guest for this month! Laurie Roddy is a native of Houston and has been writing for over 25 years on everything from computers to the outdoors. She now freelance writes for several Houston-area magazines and recently completed the book, "60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Houston". She has hiked the Rocky Mountains, Mt. Olympia, Mt. Rainier, the Davis Mountains, Big Bend National Park, the Smokey Mountains, St. Johns in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and all around the Houston area.

Come find out a little bit more about local hiking and find out more about Bayou City Outdoors itself. We’ll have happy hour food and drink specials while getting to know members and non-members alike.

We have the private room blocked off from 7:00 to 8:00pm. You can ask questions in small, break-out groups. With 85 to 100 events a month - from kayaking to camping, biking to hiking, concerts to wine-tastings - we never run out of things to do or friends to meet!
