Battles, Mary Timony Band, The Twilight Sad March 23, 2007

Putting four music industry heavyhitters together in one band could have lead to egoclashes. Instead we got Battles. John Stanier of Helmet, Dave Konopka of Lynx, ex-Don Caballero guitarist Ian Williams, and freelance multimedia artist Tyondai Braxton make instrumental post-rock rooted in electronic gadgetry and experimental noise. With the release of their album EP C/B EP on Warp Records, their unique take on music is set to cause some serious damage.
