This is an annual event recreating the battle fought in March 1865 between Union and Confederate troops for control of Tallahassee. Reenactors in historically correct uniforms use reproduction black powder weapons to accurately demonstrate tactics of the mid-19th century. Combat arms represented are Infantry and Artillery. Civilian demonstrations of cooking, candle-making and other crafts as well as a demonstration of battlefield medical practices will also be open to the public. Camps open at 9:00AM and there will be a skirmish on Saturday and a full reenactment of the historic battle on Sunday. Times for both the skirmish and the battle are approximately 2:00 PM. The battle lasts for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
